PATCH UP REPAIR OF CONCRETE STRUCTURES
Perma Jointing Mortar is a cementitious powder which needs just addition of required amount of water to form a thicksotropic paste which is slump free and ideal for use as a pointing material in the stone masonry structures of dams and historic buildings.
Perma Jointing Mortar is primarily used as pointing mortar in heavy masonry structures of dams, hydraulic structures and historic buildings. It is also successfully used in repair of structural members in buildings where high strength and non slump mortar is required especially when these repairs are to be carried out against gravity.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Mix Perma Jointing Mortar with water in the proportion of 130 ml water to 1 kg of jointing mortar powder and mix thoroughly using a slow speed mechanical mixer to get a smooth consistency paste. As with all repair jobs the site conditions vary hence the water / powder ratios may be adjusted to suit the application requirements. Apply an epoxy bonding agent such as Perma Master Bond on the surface to be repaired or on the sides of the stone in the joint to be pointed and wait till it becomes tacky which could be two hours from the time of application. Apply the jointing mortar paste on to the surface using a suitable spatula so that the thickness of fill or repair is not more than 20 mm at a time. Should the thickness increase the first layer may be serrated after finishing to create a mechanical key for the second coat. The second coat may be applied after the first coat has hardened leaving it to cure overnight.

Perma Jointing Mortar gives a yield of 12.5 Ltrs. when mixed with 25 Kg powder.60 kgs of Perma Jointing Mortar covers an area of 50 sq.ft if applied to a thickness of 4 mm.
Perma Jointing Mortar is available in 10 kg & 25 kg sacks.
Perma Jointing Mortar has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry environment, in its original packing. If stored in conditions of high temperature and / or humidity, the shelf life may be reduced to as little as 4 months.
